dd5 and dd6

Re: dd5 and dd6

One of the big differences is that the DD-6 has stereo inputs and stereo output, while the DD-5 has stereo output and only mono input. It's not that big of a deal, but it's something to consider if you are intereted in a stereo sound. Keep in mind that there are a few delay pedals out there that have only mono connections, and they work just fine.

Re: dd5 and dd6

If you plug straight into a delay pedal with stereo outs, you can send the signal to 2 different amps. Some delay pedals make the sound "bounce" back and forth between the two amps or send the unprocessed sound to one amp and all the repeats to the other amp. And with delay pedals that have stereo ins also, you can plug from the stereo outs of a flanger, for example, and continue the stereo signal after the delay if you choose. For the most part, it's fun to have available, but it's not that big of a deal. I have a bunch of pedals with stereo connections, but I usually run my signal in mono.

Re: dd5 and dd6

I had a DD-6.

I found that it sounded its best using a mono input and stereo out in an effects-loop. I sounded bad running in front of an amp or with mono output...

My 2 cents...
