I simply told him I would throw it out here as a favor. I knew $1400 was too cheap, but he really needs to let it go. I honestly don't know if he knows how to do the eBay thing. I should be a good friend and make him let me list it on my eBay!!

I say go for it, at the absolute lowest price, you would still break even. Here's a similar guitar:

Alright dudes.... I bit the bullet and just went and picked it up myself tonight. Since I know Ken has been monitoring this thread... hear ya go man... I am already putting it to good use!!

Oh BTW..... I picked it up so I could eBay it for him!! LOL! I am just gonna broker this one for him. I am a true Tele loyalist. This is a mighty fine guitar though....I have to admit it.

Man, that's a real beauty, you should keep it if you can. I've always thought Les Paul Customs had a bit of that "Tele on steroids" tone with the extra highes from the ebony fretboard. Take good and detailed pics of everything, that auction above went for $3,000. Now I'm wishing I'd bought it:-)

I gotta say.... this guitar isn't as muddy as I remember Pauls being in the past. It has a 59N and JB in the bridge.

Les Paul Customs are generally brighter than regular Les Pauls.
