Dean Goldtop V

Re: Dean Goldtop V

and once again, USA manufacturers are leaving the foreign buyers in the cold. why? there are 300 million USA residents, and 6.3 billion people in the rest of the world, or which 1.5 billion in china, Korea and japan, and Europe 500 million. again, why leave the rest of the world in the cold? You have no idea what fights I have to have with guys on ebay and other USA-stores when I want to buy something. "wont ship to others except usa!' why? I pay for the goods, I pay for shipping. You're missing out on 6300000000 potential buyers! I dont get it...

I can acquire any gear here for forum bros and ship it worldwide... you pay shipping of course.

Re: Dean Goldtop V

thanks, thats a very generous offer! I know several guys in the USA too, so its always 'manageable'. the thing is that some guys just wont ship abroad, and why? are we lesser people?

Re: Dean Goldtop V

It's the mileage vs. trust issue for some. The expense of shipping for others. Unless you are a store dealing with those kinda things regularly it can be a big deal. Besides Americans are just plain lazy after all aren't we? ;) :cool2:

It pays to make friends. :9:

well, I dont understand it. suppose you live in upstate washington, and you have to ship to a guy in Florida. thats some mileage! you have to bring it to a postoffice. whats the difference in writing on my adress in the netherlands, and paying 30 bucks more, 30$ I payed to begin with. If I have 100 credits of positive feedback at ebay, I still dont get the main issue. Oh well, I always get around problems like this ;)

Pickups are USA product specially made for them. Sound like the Duncan Antiquites I have in my Trans Amber Korina V.

Can't say I know all about Hamers but I do love playing them and know a few places to look for info. Love some Deans too. :23: :13: :cool2:

Re: Dean Goldtop V

if this had been a white Vee with all of these appointments, it would have been my dream Vee....

Re: Dean Goldtop V

it sucks balls but what can you do? I completely understand that they don't want to hassle with international shipping, trying to come to terms with someone who barely knows english, beeing asked to lie about the worth of the item for customs, etc. Especially when their own market is so big. They don't really need to ship outside of the US to get their stuff sold.

But a big thumbs up to those who do! You know we really appreciated it ;)

And I love that guitar. Except for the headstock :D

I almost might just think that you don't really live in Sweden.:(

Re: Dean Goldtop V

I was thinking this morning while playing this guitar what a nice tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Flying V it is. Golden even. It has a nice Les Paul Custom look to it with the binding and such. I'm not usually a fan of the satin hardware but it's cool. I REALLY dig the way they have done the logo too.
