That Matchless/Bad Cat clone Bugera makes for $350 looks pretty enticing. With that said, I bet the Bad Cat overseas made Cougar is a better amp and at less than $100 more really looks like a steal.

I love the tone in the clips but of the few reviews on the site, there seems to be a pretty high failure rate. Bummer.

I could actually afford it.

I dunno about the original version of the 1960 but after Blix over at TGP beat the crap out of his Infinium version I got one and have been doing the same. No probs. I loaded mine with some JJ 6CA7s. I actually forget what ended up in the preamp after I did a lot of swapping.
