Decide for me; PAt-B3, Crazy 8 or Dimarzio Air Zone?

Okay, I'm lleaving to Sn Antonio too go see my mom now. When I get backI wanna find out the answer to this question thats been burning a hole in my gut.
Im looking for a soft treble to tame the shrill spkiey bright nature of my Walnut Start.
Its got a PAtB-3 in it, which I may stay with. The treble responce is rolled off, but the scooped mid thing bugs me a bit, as it seems to accentuate the highs anyhow when doing chordage(i know,, thhats not a real word lol) due to the lack oof uppermids , twhen your cranking your amp to get a blanced sound, the highs become brittle imo.
Thwen I just got a Crazy 8. Ive noticed that suckahs EQ curve is spkid for treble. However its balnced across the slope, so It should have a tame highs for chording, bbut I'm worried the Highs for soloing will cut too icepicky.
Or should I go with a safe bet from Dimarzio, tthe Air Zone, which just rolls off the highs and is prety balanced in the bass and Mids.
Decide for me please.

Those 3 pickups don't exactly have much in common, do they?

It is my experience that pickups changes will not make what you don't like about a particular guitar go away. I think it's better to find the instrument that resonates right to you, and build on that. If the brightness has been irritating you from the beginning, I bet it won't go away with all the SD and DiMarzio catalogue combined. :)

I really dig the PATB-3 in my maple Carvin DC127-T. It's almost as fat as my PG loaded Lester.

The AZ was a bit muddy for me, but that was in a mahogany Hamer, in walnut, YMMV.
