Darkness on the edge of Tone
A couple of months ago, my pick of choice was almost impossible to find; Fender Premium Celluloid Heavy. So, I switched to the Dunlop Ultec 1.14mm picks.
I like the long life of the pick, but last night, 1/2 way through our set, I grabbed a Premium from my pocket, when the Dunlop got shredded down.
Although the Fender shreds in like an hour, I have to admit: These picks are WAY BETTER!!!!!!
The articulation was so much better, the sound was brighter, had greater attack, and pinched harmonics were SCREAMING from the guitar.
So, it's back to the Fender picks for me again. I'll just have to live with the low lifespan ...
