I like Jazz IIIs as well, although I've only tried one once (for a few days). I found it, then lost it. It was cool though.

all my picks break. they just come in half. clean off and stuff. i do like celluloid though.

Fender Medium 351's is the only pick for me !! Tried Dunlops and jazz

When the edges get worn down on the Ultex, they get rounded, and I can actually feel the pick slipping off the strings ... most annoying!

i use tortex .60 the orange ones. Ive switched in the past to tortex .73 (yellow) and .88s (green) but i always go back to my trusty .60 tortex pick. I love them they arent to bad for soloing and great for strumming not to hard and not too soft. but they do wear out after a few weeks or so, but so do all pciks that are .60 or less anyways. it can withstand a few pick scrapes as well, but heck its just a pick i mean they are worth maybe less than 35 cents or so! Eitehr way im hooked on these picks and i dont think ill botehring trying a new pick again cause ill just end up going back to the tortex .60. Also just on a side note alot of my fav guitarists play with .60s too! Just an odd thing i discovered.

duncan 1.5mm gatorgrips... Used Fender heavys before that, just love the way a thick pick drives through the strings, makes me feel invincible!!! Gatorgrips don't fly out of my hand.
Either that or I tape 2 bread clips together, what I did when I was too cheap to buy real picks, back at the beginning

I need to try the black Jazz IIIs, the red ones are way too slippery. I just bought a pack of 2mm Dunlop Big Stubbies and I am completely in love. They're thick enough to not bend, but the tip gets thinner so it's easier to play. Plus there is a little indent for your fingers and that's pretty nice. If they made Big Stubbies out of tortex, I would never use a different pick in my life.

I use the green & Yellow. But I would prefer to use Jeff Becks approach. Fingers, I am lacking a few basic techniques to just play with my fingers, so I "chicken Pick" a lot. The pinch harmonic & speed picking. If I could do this with my fingers, I would not use a pick!!
