Delay, Chorus, Choruses, Chrosusi?

Hey with Christmas coming up I am supposed to make up a wish list. What is you guys favorite delay pedal? I'm thinking the BOSS DD-3 or Digitech XDD the line 6 Echo Park looks nice but worth the dough?? I want one that will give me that stadium ambience. Just a tad around the note. Would I be better with a digital delay. Seems redundant b/c I have onboard reverb but I have it set to only wetten the sound not be overbearing. Also there is no switch.

Chorus...well I've got a little (mini) dano that's good enough but the polarity or something in it doesn't jive well with my other pedals and when hooked up to another I get nothing. So what do you guys think. Try to rewire? New one suggestions?

I still like the 1 pedal setup but for some recording I'm going to be doing I though it might sound nice.

My picks for tasty stocking stuffers:

Boss DD6 or Line 6 Echo Park. I would not go for the XDD delay... too muddy and bad tone preservation. Dunk a DD3 in a bucket of water and there ya go. Plus the DD6 seems to have superior tone preservation over the DD3's and 5's. Digital Delay plus reverb is a great combination to get a lot of dimension to the sound. For stadium style ambience I always preferred a good digital reverb on the "hall" or "cathedral" setting.

Danelectro Cool Cat, Boss CH1, Boss CE20 IMO the CE20 is the best chorus pedal. Ever. The CH1 is a personal fave of mine as well and the cool cat has a sweet vintage flavor to it.

The Dano minis are... well, you get what you pay for. When i worked at GC we used to call those and the RP50's "Fischer-Price Effects" :laugh2:
