I don't have an RTM, but I have a JB/A2 17k that sounds stellar. Great rock pickup. Soft top end, no spike. Sounds like a really loud Whole Lotta Humbucker.

I have one. Cool pickup. Similar to a JB, but a little tighter/crunchier on the bottom and much less biting up top, but still very clear.

Same here in a MIJ SD ProMod with a Screamin Demon in the neck.

Without being out of line and having the SD faithful blast me, I think you are safe in assuming that a JB with an A2 will get you very, very close to the RTM.

And yes, had a JB/A2 in a hard maple body, maple neck, super strat with a floyd and it sounded amazing.
