I used three of my Washburn USA MG series guitars 2 1995 MG's and a 94. All three are honduras Mahogany bodies with quilt maple caps the two 95's are pretty much identical the 94 is an early one with a thicker neck bigger frets and is an absolute tone monster. The 94 with the stock JB is noticably much thicker and louder played accousticly than the others so keep that in mind here. Before with the 94 and 95 MG 122's both with stock JB's the 94 blew the 95 away and was much much thicker sounding and more powerfull. Now with the A-8 JB in the 95 it is the thicker and louder guitar.
The Custom 8 is still my overall favorite of the three it's more articulate and focused than the JB's.
I used the intro to a song we do at church called Downpour and please excuse the slop as I was reaching for the mouse and sitting in front of the computer in an office chair with arms to do this. This was done straight to the computer through my Fender Super-Sonic.
