Demo's of my band

Re: Demo's of my band

Craig, awesome job! Great sound, great playing, very tight - I know I've said this before, but it deserves it!

Singing issues though, can't get over it, sorry.

Wah-ooh-wah-ooh-wah-ooh-wah-ooh! Rock on bro!

Thanx for the comments mate.

The singer does suck, but thats because he's trying to be Liam Gallagher and thinks he can coax by on 'attitude' ;)

:D

Attitude is everything. In my mind I'm a slender, well built, very attractive, cool dude.

But in reality, I'm a fat ugly nerd! :laugh2:

Very Oasis-ish.

Good fun songs.

Thanx for the reply Proxy.

I dunno whether sounding like Oasis is a good or bad thing, but thanx for your opinion :)

No soundcard here at work (fortunately, or I'd never get anything done :D ), but I'll look forward to hearing these at home!

Re: Demo's of my band

I think it sounds really good. Especially the guitar tone. I like the main riff on Fever Grow Old, very Stones-ish. I'm not a big fan of this type of music, but I can totally see what your singers going for and he does pull it off pretty well actually.

Re: Demo's of my band

Craig (Brow) uses Seths on most of these tracks, I think. Great tone I agree!

Today's the Day is my favourite, pay close attention to that one :)

Re: Demo's of my band

Thanx for the replies guys! :)

The Stones comparision is a lot better imo than Oasis (I prefer the Stones myself) so thats quite cool :)

They're still pretty rough tracks at the minute, so I'll be sure to post them again when they're mixed :)

Good stuff Brow but I'd have to agree with Bee that the singers gotta go. :smack:

I do agree with you to an extent, and so does he! lol

He kinda got 'lumbered' with vocals after the original singer (his brother) left the band :saeek:

Thanx again for the reply.

Re: Demo's of my band

Nice tones there, mate!

I have to agree on the singer criticisms though......a little dull and monotonous for my tastes....other than that....very cool playing !!

Its mostly the vocals, the guitar is lacking lots of reverb and being extremely hot in the mix if you were to call the rest Oasis-ish. The guitar work does remind me of Rolling Stones now that someone put that out there.

These are still pre-mix songs, so hopefully they'll sound a bit better after they've been mixed.

I don't like alot (if any) reverb on guitars, so the finished version probably won't have all that much reverb on either :)
