Depressed ... SFX-03 issue

Well, as you may have noticed I have been loving my SFX-03 pedal. It has been a great piece of gear for me. It eliminated a lot of things on my pedalboard. Tonight when I went to play the second channel had a ton of noise on it, and the notes trailed out strangely, almost like some sort of ocillation or something. I tried pulling it off the board running it alone to see if it was the pedal location or power source. I tried different guitars, other high gain pedals in the same circut and different cables. Nope, it is pedal channel specific. Right now the white noise sounds like a gale force wind blowing, and it is as loud as the signal so it competes with the playing.

I will call SD tomorrow and see what can be done. I am sure they will do what can be done, but I am past the 90 days for the tubes for sure and I am guessing that is probably the issue. I could be wrong though as I do not know as much about electronics as I would like to here. <sigh>

It sure sounds like a tube. Good thing Duncan has a lot of them. That's supposed to be a rather ruggedized tube though. Hey, it's electonics. Anything can happen.

I just hope I can get the repair worked out quickly and easily!

I just spoke with CS at Duncan. I have a RA and will simply need to send it back to them. Smooth and painless process. :banana: I just need to deal with my seperation anxiety now!

Isn't this the third or fourth person who has posted having a problem with their tubes in this box?

I remember the scuttlebutt being that the tube/s were super heavy duty (military?), so that replacement wouldn't be neccessary cos they were hard to work on and/or extremely hard to get/find?

This is only the 2nd one I remember hearing about. Duncan will make it right I'm sure.
