Diamond Darrell Signature

I'm looking for some help. I have an old Wash burn "Diamond" Darrell guitar. It has no serial number on it and I can't find any information on this specific model. It is not a Dimebag model, it actually says Diamond Darrell signature model. It's black. Bolt on neck. Grover tuners. Both pickups are white and black. Not much else to say about it. I know it's an old one and I figured it was a cheapy but if anyone knows any information about the old ones I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Re: Diamond Darrell Signature

Something's fishy about that.

Guitar World used to run an ad for the Korg G3 processor featuring Diamond Darrell. At the same time, he'd be referred to as Dimebag elsewhere, etc... Around the time Far Beyond Driven came out, he did a GW interview that ended with him saying it was Dimebag, not Diamond. He was still playing Dean at the time, and it seemed like once he said that, nobody said Diamond anymore.

Re: Diamond Darrell Signature

Not fishy at all...go read the Liner notes to Cowboys From Hell...no mention of "Dimebag"

The Deans that said Diamond Darrell usually said it under the Washburn Logo but still had 'Dime' on the headstock.

Welcome to the Forum!

We have a handful of Dimebag/Diamond fans around here, so get some pics up, and we may be able to figure out exactly what you have.

Re: Diamond Darrell Signature

Dimebag stopped going by the name Diamond Darrell after the CFH album. They had three albums out previous to that one in fact. His current Deans say Dime and the Washburns always said Dimebag Darell Signature model. Please post a pic.

I think he used Deans during the "Diamond" era, which IIRC was the first two albums (counting from Cowboys From Hell - not the spandex hair spray years).

I think it was Diamond in VDOP as well.
