Did a little work to my Iso cabinet.

Lined the inside with some laminate flooring isolation underlayment and then carpet. Might not be as good as sound panels, but it was free material from a job. If I have time today, I'm going to make a triangular wedge for the wall in front of the speaker. I brain farted when I bought the XLR plates for the inside and outside of the cab. I bought 2 female plates. That's why I have male to male adapters where the XLR plugs into.

Looks good to me. :)
Just a Geek/Nerd question...what mics are you using in there.?

Looks very effective; how did you derive the dimensions of the inside of the box?

Basically just built it to fit my 1x12 extension cab, widthwise. I can also put a 2x12 in with it turned sideways. As for length, I just wanted it to have a little room to push some air.

I'm thinking of putting in a baffle that the speaker can mount to. It would be cut to mount my 15 Eminence Big Ben (love the sound of that through my Orange) and have an adapter ring to mount a 12" speaker to. Doing that, I could probably also record bass through it.

I'm getting pretty good results with it, but honestly, the 1x12 cab I built is a bit boxy sounding. I can eq that out, but I think doing the baffle would solve that.

Here's something though the cab that I was messing around with last night while in a Sabbath mood. Not the tightest double tracking ever. I just threw it down quick before I forgot it.

Not sure if this post will send this Thread to tips and clips or not.

It sounds great!

Picked up some Auralex off Craigslist, cheap.

Also put some on the walls of the Cave for the time being. In time, I'll be making some Owens Corning panels.
