Did Gibson actually ever produce a run of these?

Here is a video of Steve Stevens' gear rundown. He has a Gibson Les paul in here that I friggin love. If I didnt know about the run of Widow series that gibson made, I would assume it was a complete custom shop job.

I also know they made a purple widow, but it had a purple flame top. The one in this vid appears to be black with purple logo and binding.


Anyhow, in this vid, at the 11:55 mark is the guitar Im talking about. He does say the LED lights are custom. But the guitar is black with purple binding and stuff

that red widow is awesome! ive seen one of those at an online dealers site. cant remember where tho. im sure it was a limited run

YEah, I know the red and green widows was a run, but Im wondering if the one like Steve has was a run or a one off?

Pretty sure it was a run. I remember Sweetwater (I think) selling em a while back.

Only references I can find. The ads claim there were only 25 made. The only two for sale are from the same site, however, and I can't find archive information from Gibson site.

The LEDs are done by an English company- SIMS custom shop- a retrofit.

Thanks! yeah, he says in the vid that the LEDs were a mod. Im mostly oogling over the purple and black

If I scroll all the way to the bottom, I'm seeing pics of the guitar. Are you not scrolling all the way to the bottom? Or are the pictures broken for you?

No pics bro!
Looks like there should be pics at the top, but just gray boxes. When I scroll down, I see finish choices, inlay/neck pics, then some info about fret choices, logos, pickups, then contact info. Ill try going to their site and looking them up later.

Thanks! Yeah, I finally found them on the site you posted. I couldnt pull em on my work comp, but I did at home. wish they had a pic of the headstock.

Nah - I like the quilt and chrome - the chrom gives it an icy cool look where gold would warm it up too much.

And I have a constant hard-on for quilted maple.
