Did they stop making the Palladium?

I don't see it in their line-up. Killer sweet versatile distortion pedal. Why would they discontinue it?

And the Twin Tube Classic. Since I brought it up. And the Mayhem. Why do company's stop building their best cool products?

I've noticed that with pedals, they last a few months these days. They sometimes 're-release' them with a different paint job, but no pedals have lasted a long time.

The Palladium has been out for 7 years and pedal culture is always about "the next big thing", even if that thing is just another pedal based on something that already exists.

I bet SD could renew interest in it by adding a useless toggle switch, painting it a different color, and calling it "V2".

It's a strange world...

I do hope they continue coming out with pedals, even if they aren't huge sellers. They generally are different than what is currently out there. I think a Palladium combined with a PowerStage would be a cool idea...just add a speaker.

Heck yes! Call it the "Stadium"...LOL!

the twin tube stuff was cool, but im sure the build was a pita. the palladium is sweet though, surprised they did away with it

The Twin Tube was interesting in that they took a European 240VAC-to-16VAC transformer, and installed it backwards. So the 16 VAC wallwart provided true high voltage to the tubes. It's one of those pedals I'll probably never sell.

I had the original Twin Tube, and couldn't bond with it. I hadn't tried the variations, though.

i have a ttc and ttb. i wish there was independent eq for the two channels, but there are some great tones in there for sure.

My favorite from the archives was the Tweak Fuzz! Anybody remember that one?

Yup. That and the PowerGrid also. On one hand I regret selling both. Then again, I don't really need a dozen distortion/boost pedals. Especially at my age.

I wanted to try the "Twin Tube Blue" also. There's something about having "Blue", or "Blues", in the name. Not sure how different it would be from the Classic. It would be nice to have a schematic. It wouldn't surprise me if the difference was a couple resistors and/or caps.

I've never tried the Blue version either. Something tells me I'd like that one better. These pedals might have done better in smaller enclosures.

the blue and the classic are very different pedals, i prefer the classic but both have cool stuff going on. and i agree, the size does make it an issue to put on a pedal board. though ive done it. the ttc and a rotosphere on the same board made it pretty bulky and a pita to haul around. tones were fantastic though
