Did Vox Discontinue the AD120VTH or any other of the blue heads?

Just wondering. Was thinking of ditching the combo in favor of a head. Not sure I want to get one of these used though if I get one.

I believe they did discontinue them.

Yep, what's in the system now is all that are available new. Makes me wonder what they are going to replace it with for their flagship modelers? The silver face amps are very nice, but the blues had much more to tweak.

Yes they did discontinue them. That is why I bought two of the Korean made ones. I think all the blue amps are discontinued now.

The only blue one I see on MF is the AD120VTX 2X12 combo. Oh well, guess I'll just stay with the combo.

I just won a korean AD60VTH and VC-12 the bay for $340 shipped:)

i got pretty paranoid when my sister got a AD120VTH for $400 out the door at GC and they told me they were not in the system anymore besides NOS...

I'm pretty stoked!!!

Good score LoFiBrian! Sounds like you clubbed the guy over the head on fleabay and took it from him. ;)

That's the one I own, although I've never had the footswitch. I don't need it because it's my home practice rig and I sit near it. You really don't need the 120, since the 60 is plenty loud, and possibly runs quieter. If you learn to use the OD models in conjunction with the amp models, you can really pinpoint exact tones you want to use. They're the most tweakable amp that sounds organic. I like it better than a L6 Flextone HD I had years ago.

As i see the new ToneLab LE ,i think summer NAMM will have a Korg/Vox surprize!I hope at least!Or they move everything to china and try to make a blue face with the silver face prices!

Didnt they bring out new tonelab and new valvetronix amps lately (with tweaked gain models or something)

Yeah. It's the same thing as the metal grill amps with tweaked models being the only difference between the two that isn't cosmetic.

I Love the stereo spread with the 120 though GJ....For a few dollars more...

Yeah, I was interested in that as well.

Physically, I could build or get a head cab, but the way it's set up electronically I'd have to have it modded or something. The speaker out doesn't cut off the internal speaker, so I'd have to have the wires that go to the combo's speaker hardwired to the jack. Plus I'd rather have a 16 ohm output as that's what all my cabs but one have.

I still see the VTH series on E Bay quite a bit.

Bragging rights:)

Auction Link!

Well my sister has the AD120VTH...and she is getting the footswitch for $150 from me so I am getting the AD60VTH for $190!!!

I like the stereo of the 120 run into my sisters stereo cab with english made greenbacks...but she runs it at 2x30 so she doesnt push the Greens and her own ears to much...its plenty loud that way with her drummer who hits like dave grohl on the louder songs!

but she really needs the footswitch...runnign over and turning on the Rat pedal or switching to the JCM800 model during a song is embarresing....

But i don't think i'll own a stereo cab or need the footswitch anytime soon...this is my studio amp and will replace my AD30VT...Just need to pick up a 2x12 special from Avatar with V-30's! :) GAS!!!
