Diezel Zerrer

Hi. My first post here. Not good at intros so I will just proceed with my inquiry. Do you own a Zerrer? I acquired a Diezel Zerrer kind of an impulse. This is not my first Diezel but it is my first integrated preamp device. Originally I went to buy an Axe FX II but things changed because I really only need one good amp sound. Specifically, do you use it as an overdrive at the input or as a preamp on the amps power section? How does it compare to Fractal? Thanks for your input.

Re: Diezel Zerrer

Welcome to the forum! Sorry ya havent got many replies, but there isnt much Diezel talk round here. I cant speak for the whole US, but I know in my neck of the woods, you dont see them. Not sure if its limited distrubution or cuz we are ghetto and those cost big $$. (Probably the latter) Id never even heard of the Zerrer til you posted.

Re: Diezel Zerrer

Yes I do admit that it's kind of a shock no one on this forum seems to have one. Having used it for three days I can confidently recommend it. They cost only $799. Little people can afford a basic Diezel amp without going into debt or selling a major organ LOL. It's all solid state but it plays in hand exactly like a VH4. Even the almighty Axe FX sounds artificial beside it except you only get two channels and no FX. It even works as an overdrive pedal. It looks underwhelming I think but the innovation is inside because you won't believe it does not have a tube! It's very basic but a flexible channel design of what sounds to me most like a Herbert overdrive and a VH4 on the clean side. I hope it will catch on because it's all Diezel without the 100 watt overkill.

Re: Diezel Zerrer

That's what I was saying in my post. It's worth the $800 because it's a Diezel amp minus the power tubes. It sounds great, all analog, not a modeler or processor at all. To me $800 is too much for a Mexican made Fender amp, but for a Diezel it's a great price.
