Difference between old and new SL3s?

Hello. I can get an old used SL3 (2002) from a shop here for about the same price as a new one from Matts shop (in the US). I know they both have the same pickups (JB HR HR) but are there any differences? I'm thinking maybe they upgraded the trem or something like that?

And a bonus question, how do you think the new DK2s compare to the SL3? They seem pretty simillar but the DK2 is almost half the price of the SL3. The only differences I can think off are HR instead of classic stacks and neck thru instead of bolt on (which is great but I dunno if it's worth the cost).

does the heel bother you a lot? if it does then go neck thru. I dont see any problems unless you have a habit for breaking necks...

Well it doesn't bother me that much but I've kind of grown used to neck thrus since my only guitar I really play is that. Right now I've kind of decided to go with the used SL3 from here since it's about the same as a new DK2 here..
