Different Spaced Poles on Strat Covers?

I ordered some black Strat covers, and they won't fit. On examination- They're three different spacings each: 54mm, 56mm (actually fits,) and 58mm. Those measurements are from edge-to-edge of the pole piece holes, just because that's easier to measure.

What could these possibly be for? Does anyone make Strat pickups like that?

Imports maybe? I’ve ordered various color Strat covers and they seemed to be two distinct sizes I ran into, smaller import ones that were just slightly small and vintage correct American ones.

Where exactly did you get those covers from?

For the record: both Kinman from Australia and HÄUSSEL from Germany offer strat sets with three different polepiece spreads for neck, middle and bridge p'ups.

The Kinmans are 49.5mm, 51mm and 52.5mm, and the Haussel are 49mm 50.8mm and 52.5mm.

For the record, many asian imports like PRS SEs and Samicks, just to name two from the top of my head, come with either 2x50mm, 1x52.5mm- or 1x50mm, 2x52.5mm-spreaded strat sets, so several parts dealers have covers with both 50mm and 52mm plastic covers in stock... but have never seen one carrying three-different spread cover sets.

I remember having difficulties putting a set of black covers on Fender Fat 50s...wasn't sure but I think the black covers were Duncan Designed that I removed the name on (the Fat 50s were pulled from a Strat with White Covers and I wanted black.)
