Anyone try this pedal out yet? Does it actually even come close to doing what the adds says it does?

I will have to hear it first, but when I consider Digitech's quality, I would not buy one.

I generally agree, but you should try the Bad Monkey from Digitech, if you like tubescreamer overdrive type pedals. It's really fantastic.

Maybe I should have elaborated. I don't have a problem with Digitech's tone, but just the life expectancy out of them.

I will try out the Bad Monkey this week.

I use it as clean boost with the gain low and the level almost all the way up. It makes my THD Univalve really come to life on the clean (roll) channel. It just adds sparkle and depth at low volumes for me. I haven't tried it on a cranked amp. And I don't really like it that much as a distortion pedal. Good luck.

tried the bad monkey and it didnt do much for me.

when i heard about the clapton pedal and that it was by digitech i rolled my eyes.
then i tried it. im not gonna say its great but its way better than i expected. some of the settings are better than others, and it isnt cheap but i bet some people would really like it. the other people that were around when i was checking it out were pretty impressed

As the other guys have said, I've heard it blows, but the Crossroads Centre gets soem of the profits. Too bad he didn't go with a better company.
