digitech df-7 distortion factory

Re: digitech df-7 distortion factory

I saw that the other day...looks like it may be good (if it does what it says)...i was never a big fan of digitech stuff...but with 7 distortion choices your bound to find one you can use lol. i'll at least give it a try when local shops get it in.

Re: digitech df-7 distortion factory

I won't knock it 'til I try it... but my general experience with Digitech digital DS pedals is that they tend to be kinda cold and lifeless instead of having a lot of warmth and sustain.

Gotta love the rice-rocket carbon-fiber finish too. :lmao:

Re: digitech df-7 distortion factory

looks like the bastard child of the boss DF-2, MT-2, MD-2 and all the horrible pedals digitech makes :laugh2:

i havnt tried one yet, but no marks for originality on digitech's part!

Re: digitech df-7 distortion factory

The only two digitech pedals I really like are the Whammy and The Grunge (which is actually a DOD reissue). *sigh* I wish they stop putting out useless pieces of junk...

I believe you're thinking of BOSS, my fellow pedal fiend.

Re: digitech df-7 distortion factory

I posted this on the other another thread about this pedal, but don't knock the new digitech pedals till you try them. I encourage EVERYONE to try their series of ANALOG pedals. Especially the Bad Monkey. You will be very pleasantly surprised. It's becoming one of the best kept secrets. Folks at TGP are recognising the pedal.

The bad monkey is a tubescreamer clone without the extreme mid hump, has treble and bass controls, and is ANALOG. For $40, you can't beat that. Now if it only had true bypass......

Re: digitech df-7 distortion factory

Since everyone loves to bash ESP for copying other designs (a practice which EVERY company in EVERY business does)... I can't believe they incorporated a coencentric Mid level/Mid frequency knob! :)

Re: digitech df-7 distortion factory

The boss ds1 unmoded is crap anyway, the metal master is crap and sounds awefull, as does the boss metal zone. I would rather just spend a little more money and buy myself a tubescreamer and big muff
