DigiTech XMS Main Squeeze any good ?

DigiTech XMS Main Squeeze Compressor/Sustainer.

Has anyone tried 1 out or have 1.

Can I use it with a hi-gain amp and a Metal Muff pedal. I play Metal and some rock but most time metal.

Or is it for just for clean playing.

Ibanez RG
SD AHB-3 EMTY
Metal Muff

I have one of those. It is true, compressors are better with clean sounds, but I have run my Main Squeeze into my Metal Zone and come up with more electronic/experimental sounds. I haven't tried it with my Metal Muff.

Your setup looks like it would be pretty aggressive and compressed to begin with, but adding a compressor for subtle changes may be useful if you are already getting most of your desired tone currently.
