Gonna look at one tomorrow and thought i'd seek guidance from you knowledgeable people. Never heard of them and I came up with zilch trying to narrow down what model it is... Blue trans finish, quilted maple top that is probably a veneer, one Isis bird inlay on the 12th fret, master volume and master tone I presume and some sort of strat style trem system. It's loaded with Duncans and comes with a hard case for $200. Any thoughts?

Here's a few pictures

Re: Dillion PRS copy.

There are two Dillion guitar "companies", or at least there were. It is, or was, some type of old dispute. I think you can google it and pull up the details. At any rate, I have a small bodied semi-hollow that, I think, is actually just a semi-hollow version of that body shape (from what I can tell of the picture). Korean made guitar and good for a Korean import at the price. They make a nice LP copy too, although their higher end model is a bit overpriced. If the one in your link is in good shape, it should be worth the $200 but only you can decide. Here is a link to, I think, the current version of the model you are looking at. http://www.dillionguitars.com/guitar/electric/DR/DR1500/dr1500 2009.htm

Re: Dillion PRS copy.

A set neck guitar with $100 worth of pickups and a case for $200? Sounds like a winner.

Re: Dillion PRS copy.

It really depends on which Duncan pickups it has in it. If you were getting 100 dollars worth of pickups, you could probably resell the guitar for 100 and not be out any money. Used PRS SE models sell for around 250-300 dollars on Ebay sometimes if you wait for a bargain. I can't imagine that a no-name like that is going to be comparable to a PRS SE.

The pic shows a JB/Jazz set in zebra. There's no "if you were getting $100 worth" of pickups. He is. (The pic shows the stock pickups by it as well.)

A Dillion is a decent quality guitar. Just doesn't have a name brand on it. (Similar to Agile.) PRS SE = Bolt on. If that guitar is a set neck, it's going to be better. Period. They also sell on eBay used for $250 stock without a case.

PRS SE's are NOT bolt-ons. I don't know where you are getting that. Set neck guitars are NOT necessarily better than bolt-ons anyway. There are great guitars and crappy guitars in bolt-ons and set-necks. I rarely see anything for less than 600 dollars that will beat a good PRS SE for quality.

I can't see the pictures for some reason.
