I know Dillon is "budget" brand. Any one have any definate negatives with them?? Here is why I ask.. Stopped at a local new hock shop yest.. They have a while Dillon "thunderbird" bass. Now I had one of the newer EPI Thunderbirds in black and really liked it, but had to sell it.
Id prefer black, BUT>>> here is where the Dillon REALLY impressed me.. The neck is VERY thin. Makes it easy for me to play. And it plays and sounds great. The EPI Tbird I had, I dont know if it was the longer scale or what, but I had a real hard time fretting cleanly too. I KNOW my weak fingers have almost all to do with that, but the Dillon is much easier to for me to fret cleanly.. Great shape, great price.. Updated with a Badass bridge too..
They also have a Epi explorer shaped bass too.. VEry tempting, but its A) more money, B) in worse shape, C) not as easy to play and D) in natural color. Korina...
