Dimarzio advices for Ibanes Rg 450.

WFD´S here asking for help AGAIN. heheeheheh
first of all, i want to know what are the characteristcs of ibanez guitar, in their tradicional wood combination : Basswood body/maple neck with rosewood fretboard. 24 jumbo frets and and floyd rose. what´s its positives X Negatives ?!

i´m willing to buy a complete set of dimarzios, to install on this ibanez.
no duncans, sorry... unless someone here can convince me ono duncans WITH soundclips. otherwise, dimarzios. i think duincans not match what i want for this guitar.

2 i want a neck pickup that wil not overpower bridge and Middle pickups(H-S-H config). with the follwowing tonal characteristics NECK : little Well balanced tight bass, pronounced Mids and pronounced Highs. Highs with Sustain. And An overal Creamy/sweety/ velvety like Tone. Articulated tone .Moderated Output.

BRIDGE : Tight bass. a good ammoun of bass, not too much.. but More than the neck . Lots of Mids, and Almost the same quantity of Highs. strong and sweet highs. High Output. Overal tone : Articulated.

For the Middle, a pickup that could Match very well when alone, when splitted with both neck and bridge poickus. Moderated bass, lots of highs and mids. cristal clear highs and strat like tone, with enough output to not be overpowered by the neck and bridge pickups.

Some friends here form the forum Suggested Tone Zone or The Breed for bridge... but i need to hear More of the tone zone highs and the breed in action. the dimarzio clips just features Leads with a hughe ammount of effects. no rhythm guitars.

but i missed more a more agressive rhythm player, so i can fell the pickup better.
and some SIMPLE leads, to see how the HIGHS work on thi spickup.

JP, you ever played a duncan full shred set? They sound very different than any other Duncan I have played. Its sounds like the could work very well for you.

i played a Full Shred Neck... in a gibson les paul Custom WHITE. ahahaha
i don´t know if i liked it.
or if it was broken or something.
i played it and felt the tone too THIN. don´t know what happened, and i´m not 100% Sure if it was a Full Shred neck or bridge or even if it was a full shred.
by the way... i´ll try to measure the dc resistance, the pickup is out of the guitar, in a guitar shop that i know the owner. he is some kind of friend.
i´ll ask him to try out this pickup.
in the back it says BJ.
and it´s black.. i need to have sure if it´s both bobins allen heads or not.

You already know my opinion about this. You're not convinced yet? I'll record Left to Rot when I get better, in a few days, and we'll see then. I can also record some not so dry lead clips if you'd like it.

Any favourite songs or bands, WFD? I could try to record some tomorrow..
And i used a V-amp2 for that clip, after I ahd a power lead fixed. (twice).

Breaking... what songs can you perform?
you can do some chromatic pattern in the first 2 or 3 strings if you like, as the lead stuff.
well.. Joh, i liked the Tone zone, but i´m not sure about its highs for soloing and etc
another clip would HELP a lot.

Evolution neck, ToneZone bridge. I wouldn't ever use the middle pickup, so I'm blank there. Maybe a Fast Track?

Does the neck pick-up really have to be creamy?

For a creamy DiMarzio neck pick-up, Air Norton is probably the best choice. Pair it with a Breed for Neck on the bridge and if you need a little bit more bass, then Breed for Bridge. The middle pick-up would be Blue Velvet.

I have a Warmoth ash, non-trem with a Breed on the bridge and I didn't like its clean and split sound although it's numero uno when distorted or overdriven. The Blue Velvet did a good job on pairing up with the Breed but the Duncan SSL-2 did a better job imo.

I also need to work on my V-amp2 patches, I get tired of the sound quickly..
Anyways, this should give you some idea of the pickup with solos.. and some idea of how badly my Ibanez has it's intonation set up..

I could try lay down some PAINKILLER tracks for fun tomorrow, if there's more time. Stoopid tests..
