Dimarzio Area/stacked covers - fit on regular duncan strat pickups?

I'm about to pull the trigger on an SSL-1 set, and I know they don't have covers. I figured I'd use the covers off of my Dimarzio Injector/VVHB2 set until I read that these covers are a little taller and larger in diameter than standard strat pickup covers.

Has anyone used Dimarzio Area/Virtual Vintage/stacked single strat covers on Duncan pickups like the SSL-1, APS-1, etc.? Will they be too big?

The Area/HS covers I've used are just taller. You need to get standard Fender Strat-type covers. If I put an Area cover on an ssl, the pole-pieces are sitting in a 'pit'.

Area/VV covers are taller and wider inside to accomodate the dummy coil and shield.

Single coil covers are cheap though.

Have you tried the Area '67s? I liked the SSL flats I had for years, just as good or better than the Lollars/Suhrs/Fralins I went through, but the '67s sound even better than all of them and zero noise, far less than a normal humbucker.
