Dimarzio Blue Velvets VS. Duncan Vintage Staggered

Anyone directly compare the two?

I have a Red Velvet/Blue Velvet set in my strat right now. And its good...but...I think I want more midrange out of the Red Velvet (I'm gonna go for a twangbanger) and I want more treble-bite out of my neck and mid single coils.

The blue velvets are a little too smooth for me...call me crazy, but I like the really sharp, glassy bite of certain single coils.

Do the Duncan Vintage Staggered strat pickups have good treble response?

ALSO: The blue velvets just dont seem to "quack" enough in the notch positions. how is the quack on the vintages?

Also, how does the Vintage Flats compare to the staggers? Close? Almost identical?

i havent tried the blue velvets in a long time so i will let some one with fresher ears do the head to head comparison.

the ssl1 is a bright chimey single coil with plenty of quack in the notch positions. of the seymour duncan line the ssl1 fits what you say you want better than anything else. that flats arent quite as sharp so i think youll like the stag better
