Dimarzio breeds in a neck thru?

I've got an esp horizon Ii and a a breed set I'm thinking to install in it. Seems like it would work well, given the neck through is brighter and the breed is more mid heavy without as much top end...

Anyone done this?

Its always a gamble with any guitar and trying to predict how any pickup will react in it - especially when trying to do so from what the existing tone or construction 'should' add.
As you seemingly have the pickups already, there is no downside to simply trying them out and knowing rather than guessing.

I've tried the Breed in several guitars. Did not like it in any mahogany or basswood guitar, but it is fantastic in an Alder Jackson Dinky with a maple neck.

I had the breeds in an RG basswood body and I though it sounded great. Wasn't what I really wanted, but still. I did thick the neck was a bit too fat, but they did do what everyone says they do.

The neck through sound is different than bolt ons...the main issue being its a bit brighter and doesn't resonate like a bolt on. The breeds might just work....

Coincidentally I run The Breed bridge in my Charvel San Dimas which is alder and has a maple fretboard like your Dinky does and I think it sounds great in there too.
