DiMarzio chopper, pair with what?

You'll like it more even if U don't realize why

how stratty can it get with higher pot values? I know its more Paf than single coil tone but I’m curious if a pot change and maybe being wired in parallel will get something out of it and still remain humbucking.

It doesn't get stratty with higher value pots, just a touch less dark.

In parallel, the output is slightly less than the cruiser bridge, if you want to get it stratty sort of then try partial split using a resistor like prs does with its dgt model. I don't remember the value I used but it definitely was an improvement over parallel and regular split, will make it sound more singlecoilish.

I've done that and had some setups Like that ( so many makes and values become involved) to MY experience paralleling can be hit or miss depending on lots of criteria. I'd say Try it on your particular Ax ( u can always un-do it ) I've had stuff work on some guitars and pickups that dont have the desired or Same result on others

Last time I tried the Chopper in neck position with 500k volume and tone, it was still dark. I’d probably try 500k volume and 1M tone. Otherwise disconnect the tone control from the neck chopper. Currently I have one HSS guitar with Duncan Coolrails neck, and another with DP425 Satch Track, with 2x 500k controls in both cases.
