DiMarzio DiMeola Q?

does anyone happen to know what the resistance reads on these?... all I have been able to find out is that they're hot but clean... how hot?? in the twenties? anyone?

the dimarzio Al dimeola set is real good
the neck is about 210mv in output and has a good,clean balanced tone
it uses a alnico 5 magnet
the bridge is a hotter P.A.F type
it is at 285mv in output and has more mids and bass than a PAF
these are still available from dimarzio on special order

when did Al start using these DiMeola pickups? And why have I never head of them? I couldn't even find anything about them on the web...

they are on the dimarzio site in the FAQ I believe... but no specs .

they are pretty old I think .. and there are reviews on HC too ... not that I believe them .. but they are there..

he probably got dimarzio to custom wind him these around the elegant gypsy era?
but i am not sure
ask dimarzio's tech he wound them for Al d :laugh2:
al is one of my main influences he got me into the fast clean picking stuff ala yngwie

I knw he used to use the Super D's and PAF's, but I never heard anything about any custom pups...I guess you can learn something new everyday!
