DiMarzio/Duncan Hybrid?

Putting a new meaning to a DD

Joking aside, what would it sound like?? DiMarzio's have a distinct modern voicing, whereas Duncan's are more vintage. How would this conflict? DiMarzio's also seem to be more forgiving (playing wise) than Duncan's. How would that work out??

only one way to know for sure........ Maybe it'll be that pickup that finally lets you switch from modern to classic rock w/ nothing but a key change. :laugh2:

that would be pretty cool, i'd love to see a super distortion/Custom combo, or a paf pro/jb, or evo/distortion!!

i've actually been planning on mixing duncan and dimarzio coils since BachToRock's hybrid thread on the old forum. too bad i'm currently broke

After my poweramp comes, and I get a new axe, (assuming I'm happy with my sound) I'm going to start messing with different pickup hybrid combo's and such. I'll let you guys know when I get around to doing it, and'll be able to post clips by then!
