Dimarzio Fast Track 2

I've heard great things about this pickup as a strat replacement bridge to get a good humbucking sound. Any thoughts?

Re: Dimarzio Fast Track 2

Have it. Yeah it does give a humbuckerish vibe in the bridge of a strat. I have it wired for series/parallel option. Its much versatile that way. Overall it excels at lead work primarily. The Gretchen Menn song titled Valentinos Victory Lap is closest it sounds like for reference.

Re: Dimarzio Fast Track 2

Recently put one in a Strat style guitar. I use it hum bucking for hard rock, and split for classic Strat sounds. Couldn't be happier.

I like it with the series/parallel wiring. Series gives a good humbucker sound, though on the brighter side. Parallel sounds like a hot single without the hum.

i have a ft2 in the neck of a hamer chaparral with a series/parallel switch and it sounds nice. parallel for clean passages and series for fat solos

Had a Hamer with the DiMarzio ProTrack. PAF Pro voicing. Not real hot but a good HB tone. And good balance with neck and middle pups. I believe the Fast Track is slightly hotter.
