Dimarzio Fortitude

So, I was looking into putting together a parts guitar and came across the Dimarzio Fortitude. From what I’ve heard, it sounds like the pickup has tons of chunky low end and sounds very modern. The low output throws me a little, but the pickup sounds great, at least from demos I’ve heard. Who here has tried it and what has your experience been with it? TIA.

Joe Duplantier sure makes it sound good.

I think DiMarzios inherently have a little more ass in their bridge pickups, regardless of the output. I don’t like PAF style bridge pickups, but even my Ibanez with the PG mini hums can do chunky metal.

It's supposed a 36th bridge with more bass and slightly less mids.
