Dimarzio Gravity!

Re: Dimarzio Gravity!

I have a suspicion that this pickup has the same design as a ebmm/evh model, with a metal spacer on one side and air gap on the other...........besides the metal studs inbetween the poles.

Re: Dimarzio Gravity!

How did people get their hands on these a month or more before they are to be officially released?

Re: Dimarzio Gravity!

Yeah, I got them to review for a couple of sites. Which reminds me, I really better get onto writing it!

Re: Dimarzio Gravity!

I see you have a demo over there, nice! Is the high end as bright or brittle as that sounds? Could be my laptop sound card though.

yeah, the high end sounded buzzy- like an SD that's been shaken (not stirred) sorry- just had to :)

It must be how he recorded it?

The Vai sounds are incredible (although he probably has totally different gear).

Re: Dimarzio Gravity!

Wow i usally hate vai's tone not here! findin it hard to believe that the pickup alone is responsible for that though? he must have switched up a lot of his rig

Re: Dimarzio Gravity!

I've got a really ****ty mic and interface. Trying to get together some money to finally buy an SM-57 and maybe an m-audio interface or similar. I don't personally find the high end to be too brittle.

Buy a Sennheiser e906 , a way better mic for guitars.... :)
