Re: DiMarzio HBs

The Dimarzio PAF sounds like the real thing, the 59 and PG are a bit too cleaned up.

Re: DiMarzio HBs

Does the PAF have less woof or boom to the lows than the 59n?

BTW, I'm assumign that the PAF will get along well with a Super D in the bridge. Am I correct?

Re: DiMarzio HBs

They don't bark like 59's. The dmz PAF is very round and dark. The highs are very transparent and sweet.

Yup. That's one of the classic combos. I think that's the "Ace" combo.

I just put one in the bridge of my Ibanez, and it's probably the most neutral, evenly-voiced pickup I've ever used. No color, no "personality quirks," just sweet rock tone when you put it through EL34's.

EDIT: Benjy, I'm interested in the cream PAF myself (for the neck pos. on that guitar), but not completely decided yet. You got dibs if you're interested, but call I'll second if not.

Take it bro. I just bought some amp stuff, so I can't make any purchases for the next couple of weeks.
