DiMarzio PAF Master Bridge in the neck?

Anyone use one? What is it it like? How would it compare to the '59N?

Curious. I've never tried anything A4 before. At 7.7K and A4, seems like it would make for a more balanced neck pickup than the '59N... which I love, BTW, but it's certainly a bit scoopy.

Thanks! :)

i like a4 in some pups. ive never tried the paf master period
I'm tempted to just drop an A4 in my '59. I do like the '59 way more than I thought I would, but it's not a hot pickup, and I wouldn't want any less output from it, so I don't think I will.

The 59 seems to be the pickup to use if I want to tame the Mids on one of my SG's and yes, it appears to be the most scooped pickup I've got. The 59 is the pickup I like the least. I've got a couple Charvels - Hot Rails and SH5 in the bridges and I'd rather use them as a main pickup than the 59.

Here goes, I suck at describing what I hear....

Yes, the PAF Master bridge would work as a neck pickup and yes, if the need arose, I would try one in the neck.

Think less less mids than a DMZ 36, and more of a level response similar to a Jazz with a touch more mids .... sounds good played softly, Start slamming it and the PAF shows some treble and high end .... it really is a fun pickup to play.
