DiMarzio PAF Pro magnet swap

How did you manage to break an Alnico V? They're very hard to cut. Are you sure you didn't break a ceramic magnet in a different pickup? Maybe a Dimarzio Evolution?

What are you insinuating? That I cant read what's printed on the box? Anyways hard means brittle, Try bending a diamond and see what happens, an alnico mag is less brittle than ceramic but still very brittle when compared to most metals. The lateral force from a screw driver was enough to do it, in reality i wasn't prying that hard either (the magnet broke long before the baseplate bent) hence my suggestion to be aware of the issue and offer possible solutions.

I can buy that you damaged a ceramic magnet because they are brittle. I don't buy you damaged the Alnico V from a PAF Pro.

The one where I broke a magnet getting it out, was a PAF pro. The others I saw with glued in magnets were a Tone Zone and a Norton (the non air version) Its definitely not just ceramics.
Was it new? Mine were both from the 2000's, and neither were glued.

Yep,, that one's called the Igno, and the specs on paper look almost identical to the Satchur8 not sure how they differ sonically ir if they both use the same patents, I do think they both use Dual Resonance though.

As far as i know, Igno and Satchur8 are same pickups but one difference: Igno has Virtual Vintage slugs while Satchur8 doesn't.
