I have a paf pro in box, given to me by a friend (it had an interrupted coil, I fix it short cutting some turns, I lost a 150 ohm but it conducts now), never found a guitar to try it so at the moment I can't compare it.
Anyway this has a bass slightly rolled off, mids pronounced but not overwhelming, treble rounded, imagine an A2 but with the upper mid forward

Then probably not. The 'Pro is not scooped, but it's not as mid-forward as the description on the site might make you think. It's VERY attacky, that's why i don't love it in the neck position, personally. It's certainly not a '59 or Jazz by a long shot, but to me, it's way more comparable to a '59 or Jazz than to a JB, for example.
