Re: Dimarzio Super Distortion T

Let me get this straight…

Tom Scholz uses DiMarzio TELECASTER sized SuperD's in his Les Paul?

OK - try reading the original post carefully. OP is asking about a Telecaster version of the SuperD for a Tele….whole different ballgame. Sort of.

Re: Dimarzio Super Distortion T

I built a Warmoth inspired by Tom Scholz's Les Paul features including his selection of pickups - but for the pups I used all Seymour Duncan comparables. It's probably my band's favorite guitar now and the tone is hard to beat if you are looking for a full, solid sound. If you are looking for something thin and delicate, these pups are not for you....but if looking to establish some presence and sound rich and full, the SD versions delivered on our end. Tom Scholz's guitar sounds great so it's likely you can get a good sound out of those pups too.

Re: Dimarzio Super Distortion T

Sounds like a reasonable facsimile of a Super D in series, sounds like a reasonable facsimile of a Tele in parallel.

Versatile.
