I guess you didn't directly say it, but agreeing with LLL "100%" where he said that isn't saying it.

I agree with pitbull 100%.

For the record, the Metroamp cronies (there's a handful of them) like to steal info from non-crony members, ban them and then turn around and claim they "just discovered something"... re-posting said info. They also don't like it when a non-crony gets close to the "tone".

(You know, the only way to getting the brown sound there is with a Metro amp... /rolleyes)

It used to be a mecca for EVH info and cool dudes about 10 years ago, but it has dwindled down to the same cronies (and their sock puppet accounts) complimenting themselves over and over. Hundreds of regulars have left the forum for greener pastures.

So yeah, if you like hanging out in a den of insecure jerks and thieves who will do anything to promote George's amps, be my guest.

LLL you are 100% correct about metro amp I and many others that gave REAL knowledge there including Mark abrahimain(Rockstah-RIP) were banned and the knowledge that we gave they(metro)would use it as if they(metro)came up with that knowledge. As for dave friedman he didn't start to do work for Edward until the early 90s,Jose Arrendondo was Edwards main amp guy from the early 70s to the very early 90s.As for dave friedman his knowledge came from Bruce Egnator.

And nice job deleting your other incriminating posts in that thread. :yourock:

I didn't delete it the admin did so stop assuming, look at your last post very childish.Like I said you have no knowledge on this subject and your replies show that.

I mean these.

And... I'm sorry, but you really need to understand that you can't be the only one that's right and everybody else is wrong, especially when you have yet to even try to prove what you're talking about.

And I'm the childish one, but you're the one that got a post deleted for namecalling. Uh huh... OK.

Put your money where your mouth is. Record clips. Show comparisons of tone.

There are plenty of guys who have done so to prove things contrary to what you say. You can search for them if you like.

Why do you think the DiMarzio Super Distortion is the VH1 sound when just about everything else proves otherwise?

Re: Dimarzio Super Distortion Van halen 1 sound(first album)

I thought you have knowledge on this subject, you can call me a liar and other names but like I said you have no knowledge which proves my point.

So, wait... I have to prove your point for you? You're the one that started this thread saying that the SD is the VH1 sound but haven't put forth any proof. The burden of proof is on you, bub.

Just don't forget the hot rodded marshall and a quad of greenbacks.

Re: Dimarzio Super Distortion Van halen 1 sound(first album)

OOOOK Gilmour d I will give you some knowledge so you can use for youself, when Edward recorded Van halen 1 which was recorded in 1977 and released in 1978 Edward used his Ibanez Destroyer to recored all the non trem songs on van halen 1 which you might not know is the first album.Edwards destroyer either used the stock super 70s pickup or mighty mite pickups which were clones of the Dimarzio Super Distortion pickup.Thats just one piece of knowledge. There are multiple photos of Edwards destroyer with a cream color mighty mite pickup in the bridge postion.

It's certainly all part of it. One piece does not make the tone, but one piece can affect things. The SuperD is way too hot for VH1 tones. The SuperD does make appearances on VHII and WACF, but VH1 was a hot PAF and the Super 70 in the (pre-Shark) Destroyer.

I'm aware of the MM1400.

But what makes you think it actually was recorded on VH1?

Re: Dimarzio Super Distortion Van halen 1 sound(first album)

Stop treating me like I'm an idiot and I'll be glad to have an adult conversation with you.

That said, you still haven't proven your point nor disproved previous notions.

You started the thread. It's your burden of proof. Make your point.

"Adult Conversation" really,Like I said you don't have knowledge on the subject.OOOOK lets help you again like I said Edwards destroyer was used for all the non trem songs for van halen 1 there was only two pickups that could have been used on his destroyer the super 70 which was the stock pickups on the Ibanez destroyer which you might not know about(more knowledge for you) or the mighty mite pickup which is a clone of the Dimazio Super distortion pickup.More knowledge for you, there were no photos of the band recording Van halen 1 but there is the famous photo of van halen recording van halen II which shows Edwards destroyer with the cream color mighty mite pickup in the bridge postion of his Destroyer.Would you like more knowledge,I might have to charge you for all this knowledge............"Treat you like a idiot" REALLY...............
