DiMarzio super distortion with A8 Mag swap?

I have a DiMarzio Super Distortion resp. a Dual Sound. I performed a lot of magnet swaps, but not on a Super Distortion.
Reason: glued in thicker ceramic magnet

yes, it is. i dont usually swap dimarzio magnets cause many arent the typical old school size.

yep! I just read DiMarzio stopped the glueing in on more recent SDs.

My favorite pickup ever was an A8 Ironman from Wagner. His also had a different sized magnet, so equally hard to do proper.

I think a SuperD with an A8 might sound pretty good. Maybe a little more like a Tone Zone, with some X2N characteristics thrown in...but the world may never know.

Unless you go the extra mile and do it. Just sayin' someone needs to be the first.
