Dimebucker with more bass?

Re: Dimebucker with more bass?

Dimebucker has adequate bass. Just forget how Dimebag dialed it.

Re: Dimebucker with more bass?

Just curious as to people's thoughts on this:

"If I wanted a Dimebucker with (a decent amount) more bass, I would use a ..."

Tone control or 250k pots.

That and a pickup a tad closer to the strings should make it less tight. Unless you find a Bill Lawrence XL500, whose inductance is 1/3 higher.

EDIT - I meant a L500XL like mentioned below, and I'd also order a Bill & Becky rather than a BL USA (or a vintage model: they are excellent). YMMV.

Call Becky Lawrence and order an L500XL. (Just Google "Wilde Pickups")
I like bass and hate too much treble and this pickup is working great for me in two very different guitars. I just turned my treble knob on my amp back a notch to let the bass and mids have their way.
Or if you already have the Dimebucker, get a graphic eq pedal. Cut the highs, boost the lows and/or low mids and then you have a Dimebacker with more lows.
