S sac New member Mar 7, 2005 #1 I am lookink for a neck pickup to compliment the Distortion in the bridge of my RG. This guitar is primarily a metal shred machine played thru a high gain amp. Which of these two pickups will better handle metal toned lead work?

T theodie Guest Mar 7, 2005 #2 Re: Distortion or Full shred I cant say because I have not played the DD neck. The full shred neck is really nice in my opinon. Its really bright and clear. Brighter than a Jazz.

Artie Peaveyologist Mar 7, 2005 #4 Re: Distortion or Full shred I have a DDn in the neck. Very clear, nice "punch". Excellent "Strat-ish" character when split. Its one of my favorite humbucker sounds.
