Hmm, the Lead channel of the Twin Tube Classic can give a real distorted sound. Twin Tube Mayhem then for sure.

Don't get me wrong, I love the distorted sound I can get from the TT Classic so much that I picked up a Mayhem to go with it. Great pedals that certainly belong on this list!

Hopefully the OP will include a wide range of distortion/overdrive/fuzz pedals on the blog. These all distort the signal, even if different circuits are used to do so. The difference is purely academic - I doubt most players care what circuit is inside the pedal as long as they hear the desired result.

my proco rat II, it costs only $70 which is great for a distortion pedal of this caliber if you like fuzzy heavy chugging goodness :eyecrazy::approve: ...

but I do plan to do the Robert Keeley Mod soon for versatility

I own a Vox Satchurator.

I rarely use it. It's mainly for when I don't have access to my own amp, and I end up with a Roland Jazz Chorus or something.

It just sounds good whatever it's boosting. Very transparent, so it's almost a backup for me.

I beg to differ, it's a distortion. But yes the now discontinued Vertex mod was pricey

Why didn`t you jsut say that to begin with :notworthy , any idea what`s going on with the single channel Plexitone and how the tone might differ from the original

Thought it was common knowledge here that I work for CM....haha oh well it is not I see
Got no idea with the mini date of release.....the changes...hmm internal volume is turned down, not as pushy as the normal one would be an apt description.
The bottom end has been reduced alittle(dunno why, but it has)
I think we will make one more small one later on with alot more lower mids and less topend, plus reduced in the dirt area.
And maybe one with eq....but that one is still in the experimental stage....
Thomas and me are doing other stuff than od/dirt pedals right now....and have been busy with the everyday stuff at work....small company and all
So we are busy, and developement is not a big priority right now...
Also have our studio refurbished(got a bloody useless POS Mac computer for recording.....that thing is annoying beyond hope hehe)

Anyways it is slowly on its way out now, should not be too long now, and that can teach the boss not to spill the beans until we are done
Things takes time when one cannot focus on one project at the time!
