Divided by Thirteen: The Story Behind the Name

Re: Divided by Thirteen: The Story Behind the Name

I went to their website because I wanted to read up on their amps, and find out what their name means. It doesn't mention it anywhere. They have an impressive roster of roots rock players though.

Re: Divided by Thirteen: The Story Behind the Name

I have often wondered the same thing...

As for the amps abd players...they have an impressive roster because the amps are killer...they cost but I think they are killer amps.

Re: Divided by Thirteen: The Story Behind the Name

I had a theory about that once, but I've forgotten it.

Re: Divided by Thirteen: The Story Behind the Name

Awww, I thought it was going to be revealed, I've always wondered where they got that from.

I HAVE to try an FTR-37 or ERT-33 sometime. Those amps look too good to be missed. After hearing Maroon 5 use them live, I have a bad feeling I'd have no choice, but to buy one.

Corrected.

I'm afraid to play threw one. We have a dealer here and I have deliberately avoided it................ I have no will power!

Re: Divided by Thirteen: The Story Behind the Name

Well, I went to TrueTone again tonight and tried Divided by 13's SJT 10/20 with a G&L ASAT Tele. SHAZAM!

Re: Divided by Thirteen: The Story Behind the Name

Just learned of them from the guitar player magazine where they have the schimatic of System of the Dawn dude. Well, he is the only dude that I know who uses them, I am obviously new to them, but the name is not an amp name, at all .... too 90ties too freaking, no-sense Seatle/SoCal Emo.

Re: Divided by Thirteen: The Story Behind the Name

Brad Whitford of Aerosmith uses Divided by Thirteen, as does Rusty Anderson (in Paul McCartney's band).

Re: Divided by Thirteen: The Story Behind the Name

I'm always going to keep my eyes open for a used one, but I can't deal with the price tags on new ones. Holy smokes!.....$3200 for a one channel amp!

I think your idea of a Celtic is a much better one. Scott is making the best amps for the least amount of money...that's for sure.

Re: Divided by Thirteen: The Story Behind the Name

Yup, Scott's the man. Can't wait to get that amp in my practice room and put together some clips for y'all.

Riight. Apparently you've never been to the website and seen the hundreds of top shelf pros that swear by them?

First of all I said " I AM NEW TO THEM " try reading the posts entirely, I went to the website, I've seen a lot of professional, known, musicians that testify to the fact that they own them, but haven' seen any evidence that they "swear by them" you know, YJM has hallow body too, so ??? my main thing in the post was that the name of the amp is kinda wimpy.
