I realize HB's generally are said best with 500k, but as we know thats not always the case. Anyone use one in the bridge of a HSS strat and if so did you find it better with 500 or 250k?
Maybe not what you’re looking for but I have one in the neck of my Les Paul and I use a 250K pot(s)
I also have a HSS Strat which I’m pretty sure uses 250K pots as well. That guitar (Strat) sounded warmer to me so I switched them in my LP too... no regrets. The change isn’t all that drastic, it just squashed some of the high end that I wasn’t digging anyway so the change accomplished what I wanted.

Thats pretty much how i always look at it. But some HB's seem to need more brightness, probably higher output ones which is what i have been using in recent years. I suppose a A5 8k PAF would benefit by a bit of top end attenuation tho. Thanks. Anyone else?
