Do all metal bodies on a guitar have to be grounded?

I have been having issues with getting my dual mini humbucker Jaguar to stop humming. Do all non-connected (like not over the strings) metal bodies on a guitar have to be connected through wire to ensure that no grounding issues will occur? All separate bodies of metal were connected by wire stock, but I removed this while changing electronics. The Seymour Duncan wire diagrams doesn't have all the metal wired together either. All and any help is appreciated!

They should be because they act as antennae.

The bridge is a chassis ground. So when you connect it to your ground circuit, it provides another ground besides the main one out the jack for noise to dissipate. It is not creating noise. This helps reduce noise a lot. You also must ground all your components with a wire and not rely on them being mounted on foil. Pots, switches, mini switches. Everything. Don't be prejudice against a blade and not ground it like everyone does.
