Do I need an additional pedal?

I'm getting back into the band thing, and building a new pedalboard. So for fun I was going to run it by you all and see of there is some thing else I may need.

Music is along the line of heavy blues meets the Clash with a second guitarist heavily influenced by Brian Setzer.

I currently have:

TC Polytune 2 tuner
Vox V847 wah
Some hand made buffer I got on eBay that works great
EHX Soul Food as the main drive pedal
Ibanez Mini as a boost
EHX Holy Grail Neo reverb

Am I missing something? I ended up with a broken second V847 that I was thinking a volume pedal could be a fun mod.

Re: Do I need an additional pedal?

For the rockabilly thing you'll probably want some slapback delay.

Re: Do I need an additional pedal?

I haven't played one in years. Might be a nice touch. Is the Boss DD3 still where it's at?

Re: Do I need an additional pedal?

The Ibanez Mini Delay and the Boss Waza DM-2 are both really solid picks for slapback as well.

You could also look into the Keeley 30MS ADT. It's a doubletracker which can do slapback and record-style double tracked sounds (as well as more conventional chorus sounds which don't sound like your thing).

For the tape echo thing I use either my Hughes and Kettner Tube Replex or my Catalinbread Echorec. I suppose if one wanted to really do it up right, then the Fulltone Tube Tape Echo would be the ticket.

Re: Do I need an additional pedal?

At the moment an Orange Micro Terror through a Carvin Legacy 2x12 (Vintage 30). Once I get my Fender fixed a Blackface non-reverb will be the main rig. Until I get that Vox AV30 I've been looking into.

I don't play a lot of rockabilly, but it an option to explore for sure with that type of delay. Adds that throwback element into the mix.

Do you even need the wah pedal for that?

My other thought would be an alternate dirt/grit pedal like a rat or fuzz box. Or a UniVibe type box.

Re: Do I need an additional pedal?

If the other guitarist doesn't have one, you may find use for a modulation pedal of some sort.

Re: Do I need an additional pedal?

Some things to think about. Thank you.

A throaty wah is a nice tool to have if needed. It seems like it doesn't work, but it does in thrle right context.

Re: Do I need an additional pedal?

It was mostly for fun. Do I need another? Not really. Am I thinking about it anyway? Yes.
