Cool, but the specs that make it unappealing for me is the 7.25 radius and only 21 frets. However, if that meets your needs then YES you do need it. Everyone needs to feed their GAS>

Here's my Telecaster which I put a lot of work into. It was originally a brand new, 2013 Squier Affinity Butterscotch Model which I bought at Guitar Center a few months ago. While it originally was a decent guitar, the stock bridge with the 6 standard saddles was a ***** to restring, so I ended up ordering a new ,Gold plated , vintage style bridge, which came with the more traditional 3 barrel saddles which is much easier to restring. Unfortunately, the adjustment screw on one of the saddles wouldn't turn, so I had to remove that and replace it with a screw from one of the original saddles. After that, I ended up putting in some Copper shielding tape in the pickup and control cavities along with a Sprague .047 Orange Cap on the tone pot, with a new Fender 3 way Telecaster switch . The bridge pickup is a Duncan Designed TE-101B which I installed using the reverse wiring method and it sounds great. I then put in a new Fender " F " logo neck plate with a Fender waterslide Telecaster headstock decal and a new Fender Red Tortise shell pickguard. I had originally gave this to my 9 year old son but,he decided that he didn't want to learn how to play guitar so , It's now a permanent part of my collection and has slowly become my No#1 go to guitar.

The vintage style Telecaster with a 7.25" fingerboard radius and skinny frets is always going to be a tougher ride than a modern Deluxe number with a compound radius and Dunlop 6150. The reward for the extra effort is a sound that no other guitar can produce.
In the specific case of the Fender AVRI '52 Telecaster, I find the pickups a fraction too trebly and short on midrange. This might be because I favour the '50-51 Broadcaster/Esquire/Nocaster sound. The Duncan '53 Tapped Tele pickups would cure any weediness, for sure.

Look at photographs of Roy Buchanan, Rory Gallagher or Stevie Ray Vaughan. The actions on their electric guitars would not be out of order on an acoustic.

Those are great Teles, to me the bridge on a tele has to be right or the whole guitar won't sound like a Tele. Which is why I've never like the American standards. People often overlook the American Specials. The US special tele is the star of that series. The big frets, the vintage style brass saddles, and the Texas special pups which I don't love in a strat but sound amazing in a tele.
Those are great Teles, to me the bridge on a tele has to be right or the whole guitar won't sound like a Tele. Which is why I've never like the American standards. People often overlook the American Specials. The US special tele is the star of that series. The big frets, the vintage style brass saddles, and the Texas special pups which I don't love in a strat but sound amazing in a tele.

The only recommendation I can offer you is the bridge pickup is surrounded by metal. At hogh volume/gain it can squeal really badly. You can pretty much eliminate that squeal by removing the pickup & wax dipping it. All my single coil Teles have been dipped(except one) and the squeal is gone!
I pretty much have that same guitar. Its a great sounding and playing Tele.. Buy it & enjoy it.

For example, when I got my Strat or my Les Paul, after a few days of playing the guitar at home, I knew these were guitars I would be willing to put to work hard, and keep for a long time as part of my working rig. With the telecaster, I got some really good tones, but I just didn't see myself picking it up all that often, and being excited about playing it the way some of my other guitars make me feel.

I know, some will decry my decision because this tele model is said to be a great example of what a telecaster should be. But, at the end of the day, I've always followed my hands and my ears, not what was suppose to be great. In this case, that meant parting with the guitar.

Well, at least you made the decision early enough to return the guitar to the store rather than putting it up for sale on a forum 2 months later and taking a massive hit on the price like some other morons.
